The Growth Spiral

 

The repetition of the Change Cycle over time gives the shape of the Growth Spiral.

 

We can envisage this growth process as a continuous upward‑moving spiral as the Change Cycle repeats itself – always with the same pattern and yet always with a unique outcome since consciousness is freshly alive in each moment. As we become more aware of ourselves, we begin a movement which constitutes growth in consciousness. Growth in consciousness enables us to change our condition in life through an intentional change in the chemistry of our interactions with others.

 

Initially, we may find that we need to practice and rehearse our understanding of the Change Cycle before we can establish ourselves securely in a new condition. Of course we continue to meet the same circumstances as before – we go to the same work, live with the same people, meet with the same friends or rivals – and it may seem at first as if nothing has changed. However, if we persevere, then we will see that although we are meeting the same people and situations, our attitude to them and our capacity to deal with them has changed. We are growing in consciousness – which means that we are meeting events at a higher level of being. We see ourselves and others more clearly and we become much more accomplished in our dealings with the world.

 

We are not only progressing towards where we want to be in the Grid, but through the Growth Spiral we are also experiencing growth ‘in the vertical’ which brings us ultimately to a wider and deeper vision of our role and purpose in life.  We can begin to see beyond our previous life concerns and limitations and in a sense we are rising above the Grid and moving beyond the Grid. We are attaining an extra degree of freedom as we progress in this work.

 

 

By connecting with the Growth Spiral we move towards where we want to be in life

And project ourselves with greater positivity and power in the world.
